Head Chef - A Unique Opportunity

The Tack Room Restaurant was established in 2019 in the rebranded Wensleydale Hotel in Middleham following a change of ownership. Under the direction of Chef-Patron Charles Merchie it quickly gained a reputation for culinary excellence and gained two AA rosettes when reopened following the last lockdown.

It is a 30-40 cover restaurant with a private dining room in a small, family run hotel of 15 bedrooms in the busy market town.  The kitchen was completely refurbished this year, and has lots of great additions.

We are now seeking a passionate Chef to pick up the reins where Charles left off, due to ill health.  The style of cooking has been classic British with European favourites.  Signature dishes include home cured salmon, homemade charcuterie, sour dough, beef Wellington, Cassoulet, Tarte Tatin, Pear Amandine.  We use our own home reared free range pork and lamb, and support many local producers.

Casual Commis Waiter/Waitress 

Part time evenings and weekends, hours to suit, experience not necessary as full training will be given.
