Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all reservations and services provided by Inspirio Wensleydale Hospitality Limited, trading as The Wensleydale Hotel (“the Hotel”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Registered in England & Wales under Company Number 16730392.

By making a reservation with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in is available from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.
Check-out is between 8:00am and 11:00am.

Early check-in and late check-out may be available subject to availability and prior arrangement. Additional charges may apply.

Children Policy

Children are welcome at The Wensleydale Hotel when accompanied by a responsible adult.

Children under 12 years old may stay free of charge when sharing an existing bed arrangement with parents, grandparents or a designated accompanying adult. Additional charges may apply for extra beds, cots, breakfast or evening meals where applicable.

Children aged 12 and over are charged at the applicable adult rate.

Reservations may only be made by guests aged 18 years or over. Guests under 18 years of age may only stay when accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.

Non-Smoking Policy

The Wensleydale Hotel and The Tack Room Restaurant & Bar are strictly non-smoking and non-vaping establishments. This applies to all guest bedrooms and public areas.

A specialist cleaning charge may apply if smoking or vaping occurs within the property.

Dog Policy

We are pleased to welcome well-behaved dogs in selected rooms, subject to availability and prior arrangement at the time of booking.

Dogs are welcome in the bar and certain public areas; however, they are not permitted in The Tack Room Restaurant.

Dogs must not be left unattended in bedrooms and are not permitted on beds or sofas.

A charge of £20 per dog, per night will be added to your booking to cover additional cleaning requirements.

We reserve the right to charge for any damage or excessive cleaning required as a result of a guest’s stay with a dog.

Food & Beverage Policy

Guests are kindly requested not to bring external hot food or alcoholic beverages into guest bedrooms or public areas without prior consent from management.

Please note that room service is not routinely available unless arranged in advance.

Restaurant and bar opening hours may vary seasonally or operationally and are subject to availability.

Booking Terms

Bookings are confirmed once you receive a confirmation email and payment or deposit (where applicable) has been successfully processed.

The lead guest making the booking must be aged 18 years or over and authorised to use the payment method provided.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion where necessary.

Rates & Pricing

All published rates include VAT at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated.

Rates are quoted per room, per night and are based on the occupancy and room type selected at the time of booking.

Rates may vary depending on dates, occupancy levels, booking channel and availability.

In the unlikely event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or amend the reservation and refund any monies paid in full.

Payment Policy

Valid card details are required to secure all reservations.

For flexible bookings, payment may be taken prior to arrival or upon check-in unless otherwise stated.

For non-refundable or advance purchase bookings, full payment is taken at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

We reserve the right to pre-authorise payment cards prior to arrival.

All additional charges incurred during your stay must be settled before departure.

We may request a security deposit or card pre-authorisation upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy

Flexible Reservations

Flexible reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to 3:00pm, 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date.

Cancellations made after this time, non-arrivals, or early departures may be charged up to the value of the first night’s stay.

Non-Refundable / Advance Purchase Reservations

Non-refundable reservations are charged in full at the time of booking and cannot be cancelled, amended or refunded.

Amendments

Any amendment requests should be made directly with the Hotel.

Changes to dates, room types or occupancy may result in revised pricing and are subject to availability.

Amendments requested within 48 hours of arrival may be treated in line with the cancellation policy.

Arrival & Departure

Guests arriving outside standard check-in hours must contact the Hotel in advance to arrange late arrival.

Failure to arrive without notice may result in the reservation being treated as a no-show.

Guests are required to vacate rooms by the stated check-out time unless otherwise agreed.

Conditions of Stay

Guests are expected to behave in a respectful and considerate manner towards other guests, staff and the property.

We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or terminate a stay without refund where behaviour is deemed unacceptable, abusive, threatening, illegal or causes disturbance to other guests or staff.

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hotel property during their stay and may be charged accordingly.

Liability

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to this, our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the reservation.

We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to guests’ personal belongings unless caused directly by our negligence.

We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Data Protection & Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR.

By making a booking, you consent to the processing of your information for the purposes of managing your reservation and stay.

Accessibility & Historic Building Notice

The Wensleydale Hotel is a historic Grade II listed property. While we continually invest in improvements and guest comfort, certain structural characteristics and limitations are inherent to the building’s historic nature.

As such, room layouts, stair access, sound insulation and bathroom configurations may vary between rooms.

Guests with accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact us prior to booking so we can advise on the most suitable accommodation options.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
